Freedom of speech is one of the fundamental human rights that is addressed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. And therefore, in Islamic law, freedom of speech has a special place. The purpose of this research is to examine the limitations of freedom of expression from the point of view of Islamic law and to compare it with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This research was conducted using the opinions of Islamic jurists and jurists and related documents in order to explain the limitations of freedom of speech in terms of Islamic law and its adaptation to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the necessary information was collected, analyzed and analyzed. Freedom of expression is one of the important issues of human rights, which is discussed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and according to Islamic law, freedom of expression has limitations, which include; The prohibition of seduction, spreading rumors, slander, insulting people and holy things, etc. If a person in society violates the privacy of others, the Islamic government has the duty to limit his freedom of speech and subject the person to legal prosecution and Islamic punishment.
