The living environment has always been one of the fundamental factors in juvenile delinquency. The impact of the living environment is intertwined with variables such as economy, culture, security and others. Therefore, investigating why a teenager, during the most sensitive phase of their life - adolescence - might engage in criminal activities in pursuit of identity can be vital for crime prevention. The influence of the environment in adolescent modeling cannot be overlooked. Additionally, criminological theories, such as the labeling theory, indicate that adolescents are affected by the unwanted labels attached to them by their living environment. The rational choice theory suggests that adolescents may opt for a shorter path to achieve their goals, which often involves committing crimes. These theories illustrate that adolescents have historically mirrored the behaviors of those close to them, including their immediate surroundings. In this paper, data is collected through a primary library research method, followed by a questionnaire distributed among adolescents involved in petty delinquency. An analysis is conducted on the responses from delinquent adolescents in Ohio, USA, using thematic analysis to provide researchers with the freedom to explore the factors influencing the living environment on juvenile delinquency. The goal is to identify influential factors and take the first effective steps in combating juvenile delinquency by addressing or at least mitigating the underlying causes of crime.
